Accessibility Statement
This page describes the current state of accessibility on yesid.dev: what already works, what does not yet, and how to reach me if something gets in your way. Last updated: 2026-07-12.
My commitment#
I want everyone to be able to read and use this site, including people who rely on assistive technology. My target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. I am not there on every page yet, and I would rather say so plainly than claim otherwise. Accessibility is part of how I build, not a box checked at the end.
What is in place today#
- Semantic HTML: headings, landmarks and lists that assistive technology can navigate.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- ARIA labels on interactive artwork and graphics.
- Support for reduced motion: the site respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting and tones down animation accordingly.
- A collapse-all reading mode that simplifies long pages.
- Color contrast checked in both the dark and light themes.
- Alternative text on informative images.
Known limitations#
- Interactive SVG and canvas demos have text alternatives, but the full visual experience is not equivalent for someone who cannot see them.
- Some third-party embeds, such as the booking tool, may not meet the same standard; I do not control their code.
- The site has not yet been formally audited against WCAG 2.1 AA. This statement is based on my own testing.
Tell me what is not working#
If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, write to me at contact@yesid.dev. Mention which page you were on, what you were trying to do and, if possible, which browser and assistive technology you use. I normally reply within a few days. You can write in English, French or Spanish.
Continuous improvement#
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a finished state. I check new pages and features against these criteria as I build them, and I fix reported issues as quickly as I can. This statement will be updated as the site evolves.
